Tour initiated by the Cuba-Venezuela Solidarity Clubs
The tour aims to give participants a unique, behind-the-scenes feel for the Venezuelan and Cuban people's power revolutions.
Most days will feature morning visits to places of interest, followed by afternoon seminars with activists and leaders from the social, political and ecological movements.
There'll also be free days and nights where you can do your own thing, and fun stuff like salsa dancing classes!
While the focus will be on group activities, there will be some scope for participants to pursue their own areas of special interest as part of the tour. For example, if the environment is your passion, we'll can help you find the places, the organisations and the people to talk to. Participants will also be encouraged to develop their own individual solidarity project as part of the tour. For example:
- Making a YouTube documentary of your experience
- Writing an article for your campus publication
- Working to establishing a student exchange program with your university
- Supporting a grassroots social or environmental project in Venezuela or Cuba
